Head Coach: Jay Williams

Coach Jay Williams grew up in Pompano Beach, FL where he started playing football at the age of 7. Coach Williams previously served as the Wide Receiver Coach for David Douglas High School from 2010-2013 and rejoined the coaching staff for the 2021 season as the Running Backs Coach.  During the 2019 season, he was the Wide Receiver Coach at Oregon City High School.  He has also coached youth sports football and basketball teams since 2007.  In 2020, Coach Williams started the Portland Activities & Athletics League (PAAL), a non-profit organization, where he is the President & Executive Director. 

 

Coach Williams received a General Studies degree from Mesa Community College (Mesa, AZ) and a B.A. in Communication Studies from Portland State University (Portland, OR).  Coach Williams played Wide Receiver during his collegiate career at Portland State University and Mesa Community College.

 

Coach Williams played WR/DB in the Arena Football League (AFL) for the Green Bay Blizzards (Green Bay, WI), Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers (Wilkes-Barre, PA) and the Indoor Football League (IFL) for the San Angelo Stampede (San Angelo, TX), Wheeling Wildcats (Wheeling, WV), and the Alaska Wild (Anchorage, AK).

 

Coach Williams has lived in the David Douglas School District for the last 17 years.  In his spare time, Coach Williams enjoys watching football and spending time with his wife Jamila, and their two daughters Jenna and Jordyn.
